In my role as a Social Media Community Manager at Web Strategy Plus I manage social media accounts for multiple clients in an agency setting. This includes strategic planning, graphic design, content creation, and engagement of social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google Plus, and Google Business. I also support other digital marketing developments through SEO blog strategy and email marketing. ​
The College of Arts & Sciences is the largest college at the University of Kentucky. I began working at the college as a student worker in the IT department. After demonstrating a strong work ethic and efficient time management skills, I was asked to add social media to my list of duties. I now coordinate and manage all social media for the college. This includes content creation, copywriting, strategic planning, and analytics. During my time as the Social Media Coordinator, engagement across all platforms has increased exponentially. There has also been a steady increase in an already large following.
Fooji is a tech startup that uses social media and experiential marketing to deliver fan experiences for big name brands such as Disney, Amazon, Adidas, and FOX. When I began at Fooji, they had just begun developing their marketing team. I was a member of the social marketing team whose responsibilities included social campaign management and growth of Fooji's social platforms. I contributed work to all social platforms, but my main focus was on the redesign and growth of their Instagram account. During my time at Fooji, we nearly doubled follower count by 2,475 followers and increased engagement by 183.2%. This success led to the development of many other campaigns and social contributions.
I'm currently a Fall 2018 Brand Ambassador for Bangs Shoes. I actively engage with and support this brand because of their philanthropic initiatives and quality product. I believe in promoting brands as a consumer and a marketer.
